We loved getting your letter. Thanks! Did we ever tell you that we went to church in Abilene with John Lackey and his family? I saw that he pitched last night and the Angels lost. Hard to beat his rookie year when he pitched the winning game of the world series. Such a great family. I hope he does well. Maybe the Rangers could trade for him!

Carlos Pena should be the AL Mvp runner up.Look at his stats!

46 HR, 121 RBI, 99 R, .282 AVG

Ryan Howard has had a good year but I think Matt Holliday has had a better year.Matt Holliday has gotten on base a lot more and has a lot better batting AVG. To score runs you have to get on base and that's exactly what Matt Holliday has done this year. Ryan Howard has hit for RBI and HR but Matt Holliday has hit for HR, RBI, R, and AVG.

Ryan Howard: 94 R, 47 HR, 136 RBI, .268 AVG

Matt Holliday: 120 R, 36 HR, 137 RBI, .340 AVG

Hi Ms. Lynn,

I noticed that all his 1st round predictions are wrong. My predictions in next weeks blog.

Hi Mrs. McBryde,

Thanks for your letter! That sounds so cool. I didn't know John lived in Abilene. Yeah, pitching the winning game of the World Series is hard to beat.

Hi Reid,

Carlos Pena didn't make the playoffs, so I don't agree with you on that, but now I would agree Matt Holliday should be NL MVP.
